Recognising Excellence in Fleet
The Fleet News Group Awards recognise the best in the fleet and automotive industry — from leading fleet teams to the vehicles and suppliers driving performance, safety and innovation.
What makes these awards different?
The Fleet News Group Awards are designed to align with the real-world priorities and performance measures that define success in the fleet industry. Rather than relying solely on judging panels, the Fleet Management Excellence Awards will allow the industry to vote, giving fleet professionals a direct voice in recognising best practice.
The Fleet Vehicle Awards will use a structured Best Value Analysis approach — the same procurement framework used by fleet buyers — to ensure winners are selected based on real-world performance, value, and suitability for fleet operations.
Why These Awards Matter
- Recognise best practice in fleet management
- Showcase real results, not marketing claims
- Give the industry a voice in selecting the winners
- Highlight vehicles that make sense for business
- Acknowledge suppliers that partner with fleets
This is an awards program the industry can trust — because it reflects how fleets actually operate.

The Awards Night

More than an awards ceremony, it’s a highlight on the fleet calendar — a night to connect, celebrate and recognise industry leadership.
Fleet Management Excellence Awards
Nominations for the Fleet Management Excellence Awards will be reviewed by an independent panel of experienced Fleet Managers and industry leaders. The panel will assess each submission against defined criteria and select three finalists in each category based on demonstrated performance, innovation, and measurable outcomes.
Once finalists are announced, the process moves from panel review to industry voting. The fleet community will then have the opportunity to vote for the winner via a secure online voting platform. This approach ensures the awards are community-led and transparent, giving industry professionals a direct voice in recognising excellence. A live leaderboard will be displayed during the voting period, giving everyone a chance to follow the action and actively support the finalists.

Fleet Vehicle Awards
The Fleet Vehicle Awards will be judged using a recognised vehicle procurement methodology known as Best Value Analysis (BVA) — the same framework used by fleet buyers when evaluating vehicles for operational use.
Rather than focusing on a single feature or headline specification, Best Value Analysis assesses the overall value a vehicle delivers to a fleet over time. Each vehicle will be evaluated against practical, real-world criteria that reflect the priorities of fleet buyers, including:
- Whole-of-Life Cost (WOLC)
- Workspace ergonomics and driver comfort
- Carpark / driveway appeal
- Sustainability and safety performance
- Manufacturer commitment to fleet customers
This structured, evidence-based process ensures that winning vehicles represent the best overall value for fleet operations, not simply the lowest price or newest model. It also provides the industry with a credible, transparent benchmark for vehicle selection.
